One of the many things I adore about Nick is his youthful exuberance and his innate refusal to become a stuffy, lifeless adult.

He embraces his inner child to the nth degree and explores the world with this youthful perspective.

Whilst in Stockholm and after a delicioso dinner, plentiful wine and heart warming company, Mira and I would escort Nick, Mrs F and Shipscook to the train station as they began their way back to the hotel.

Just outside the subway station, there are some steps we need to walk down and it would appear that the Swedes have combined the wheelchair access ramp with the regular set of stairs. On the left of the stairs is the wheelchair ramp which is about 18-24 inches apart and complete with little steps between the bars/slots for the wheelchair wheels to roll down.

Nick: Hey, Meno. This must be the ramp for a one-legged pirate to go down!

I love his youthfulness and by gawd he better not change.

Bless you Nick, you wonderfully charming wee pirate you.
