With those words spoke, I grab my friend and his wife and hugged for dear life.
I debated whether I would go but decided that was the thing to do. So, I had a hot shower, put my makeup on, slipped into some spiffy clothes and drove off to the funeral home.
You see my friend and his wife suffered the loss of their beloved grandfather and I knew I had to be there to let them know, that given enough time, everything will be okay.
I saw the stillness of the deceased and then marveled at the glowing complexion of my friend's pregnant wife, for life does go on, despite our protests.
That's what it is all about, now isn't it?
The only way to honor the dead is to live your life as best as you can and to the fullest for life is too sort to do anything but that.
Know what I mean?
