Speaking of shopping, I can manage about 90 minutes straight and then I must get home or I become a snarling, pernickety MenoMama.

I hates shopping

Hubby has picked out all the fixtures, paints et al for the renos we have done in our house over the years. His taste is impeccable.

And truth be told, I really can't be arsed.

He has tried to drag me along to give input but it always end in disaster. He has the patience of a saint when it comes to placating me when we are oot and aboot!

My steadfast requirements for a house is simple really.

I wants a kick ass kitchen (a nice one) and some land to grow a veg garden. I'd love to grow my own veg. I find gardening soothing.

How about you? What would you want/insist on having in a house/apartment?

I want a house with it's own land to grow veg,and a fenced area to keep some tigers,and maybe leopards.A moat around my house to keep the sharks.A heliport on the roof.World's fastest gaming computers with one hundred and eleventy inch HD television.

I share the same dream. We're just sorting out the garden and need locks for the back gate and the fence blocked out so no-one can see and nick our veg! Grr!

We're shopping twins...HLOL...but I do all the house decor and fixtures and fittings...Ray's taste is definitely not mine, but he loves what I do... And what I really, really want is a garden of a decent size now...don't really want a bigger house...we'd only fill it with more things and we got too many already...but a bigger garden is a must....great big hugs...XXX

A house must feel right. I like older houses as they seem to have more character and feel sturdier somehow, but I am not opposed to a well designed ultra modern house either so long as it has character and looks a little bohemian ...not just a " box "

Spacious , functional kitchen a MUST - natural materials , wood, ceramic tiles, cast iron , marble , glass... not your sterile stainless steel space age look

A beautiful bathroom with a freestanding lion's claw bathtub

A small garden or terrace for flowers and veggies.

A peaceful bedroom

A view of the sea or water.

You did sy IDEAL home, didn't you ?

Oh and a good internet connection !

    I'm sure I would. Ours is nearly 70 and my mum's house is Victorian , which would make it overt a hundred years old.
    
    Here in Stockholm I really like the turn of the century buildings ..1889 and houses that were built around 1920.

I always wanted a big farmhouse kitchen but I never got one

I hate food shopping but that apart I am a very patient shopping companion - so my daughters say!

WEll, Missy I have one thing I don't want and that is stairs. Have to have lots of windows and a nice size kitchen. A little back yard for gardening and room for BA. And not real close to people. A nice view so as to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air. At this point still am looking

I'd quite like a small farmy type plot actually - space to grow veggies and keep small animals(not to eat)! However as i am probably the laziest person on the planet when it comes to "homework" it may not be a good idea, I could see it all getting really run down.

A view too would be essential - looking out of the window to somewhere really inspiring - to be able to see some water or water and mountains!

Definityly a house and garden. Gardens and stuff a tricky in Calgary, in the winter they get the Chinooks which is murder on plant life, because one day it is 20 above and the next day it is 30 below.
Must be a bungalow and lots of space for the terrible threesome.
Cochrane is a nice town apparently.
